Hey guys, i’m going to be showing you how to make your own lace trim shorts. These shorts can be pretty pricey and I don’t think many of us are willing to pay that much for just a pair of shorts. I also think these shorts are great for the spring and summer. It’s a fun a creative way to transform your old boring shorts. So what you’ll need for this diy is:

  • a pair of shorts (you can also cut up old jeans into shorts)
  • lace trim (i am using around 4 1/2 ft)
  • scissors
  • needle & thread
  • pins (optional)

First you will want to take the lace trim and measure it around the bottom of your shorts on both sides. Then pin it in place. Start from the inside of the leg and move outwards. image

Once it’s all pinned into place you can cut the left over lace. (repeat on the other side.) Then take your needle and thread and begin sewing in on. You’ll want to sew it on the inside of the shorts. You can also use a sewing machine, hot glue, or fabric glue to stick it in place. Any of these methods will work just fine. image

And ta-da you’re all done. If You would like more diy tutorials or would like to know how to style these shorts feel free to ask me :) enjoy.image
